Our Product Design Prototyping Process
Here at Plan A, we guide you through the product design prototyping stage, to create safe, quality products that consumers love.
To deliver a smooth product design prototyping phase, our designers work with the industry-standard CAD design software, Solid Works. This means our collective developments can be passed to factories knowing that the designs are ‘plug-and-play ready’ for engineering.
How we manage the prototyping process:
Our designers use the industry standard for product design so your products are ready to make;
We use an in-house 3D printer (subject to size, of course!);
We also manage fabric development & sampling for products with a soft fabric finish.
We work hard for our clients and their prototypes to get the best possible products to market. A win-win for everyone.
Not Your Average Prototype Manufacturers
Before we get started on creating a prototype, our team will use the in-house 3D printer for sampling and feedback before your product goes to tooling. This lets you review the development with us and tweak where you feel necessary before it goes to the final design.
Does your product feature fabric? No problem! We can sample factory stock swatches early on during the project, meaning you’ll be able to visualise the end product much sooner.
If your product features a bespoke design or print, our team can sample these prints using a number of methods & provide realistic quotes for each option. And that’s not all, we can also review examples of factory stitching that fits in line with your development spec too. This ensures we get the best possible result for the sampling and production of your product.
